24 hour towing near Hoboken Terminal, NJ: when you step off the last train and the car will not start
Hoboken Terminal sits at the south end of town where NJ Transit rail, the PATH and the ferry meet, with Hudson Place in front and Observer Highway running west. The last rail departures leave after midnight, and people who parked nearby in the morning return to cars that have been sitting all day. It is also the part of Hoboken closest to our trucks at night.
Cold cars, closed lots and the last departures: towing around Hoboken Terminal
Terminal-area calls are mostly commuters coming back late to a car that will not start, a flat found under a streetlight or keys lost somewhere between the train and the lot; because trucks reach Observer Highway first from Jersey City, this is usually our fastest part of Hoboken, at the same $149 flat booking fee, or $129 if you book online.
Hudson Place and the front of the station
The short stretch in front of the Terminal is busy with buses, taxis and pickups even late at night. If your car died there, get out on the sidewalk side and call. The driver loads quickly so the lane clears.
Observer Highway west of the station
Observer Highway runs from the Terminal along the rail yard toward the Jersey City line. It is the main road in and out of the south end, and a stalled car there blocks a lot of traffic. Give the nearest cross street, such as Willow or Clinton.
The 2nd Street light rail stop
The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail stops at 2nd Street on the west side as well as at the Terminal. Riders who park near the stop sometimes find a dead battery at the end of the night. Say which stop and which street, and a jump is usually the first try.
Ferry riders and the waterfront walk
The ferry terminal sits beside the rail station, and ferry riders often park along the southern waterfront. The last boats run in the evening, so these calls tend to come earlier than the train calls. Tell dispatch whether you are at the car or inside the station.
Just off a late train? Tell the dispatcher the street and the lot. The truck is often only minutes away.

Call nowHoboken Terminal late trains: common questions
Short answers to what people ask about this page; the dispatcher can answer the rest.
How fast can a tow truck reach Hoboken Terminal at night?
It is usually our quickest Hoboken stop, because trucks coming up from Jersey City reach Observer Highway first. The dispatcher gives you the real time from the closest truck.
My car will not start after sitting all day near the station. Tow or jump?
Try the jump first; it is one flat price. If the battery will not hold, the tow is quoted right there with no second trip.
Do you come to the 2nd Street light rail stop?
Yes, and to the Terminal and the 9th Street–Congress Street stop. Tell dispatch the station and the nearest street.
Can you pick me up if I also need a ride?
Yes. One or two passengers ride free in the cab, and we take you and the car wherever you choose.
